Abdullah Dowrani

Mr. Abdullah Dowrani Son of Haji Mohammad Dowran was born on January 15, 1970, in Kabul. After the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, he migrated to Pakistan. He received his primary and secondary education in Peshawar, Pakistan. He holds Bachelor's degree, LL.B (Hons) Sharia and Law, from International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan, and a Master's, LL.M degree, from the University of Houston, Law Center, Taxes, USA. Upon his return to Afghanistan in October of 2007, he was appointed as Director-General of Financial Supervision and Advisor to the Governor of the Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB). In March of 2008, he was appointed as Chairman of the Financial Disputes Resolution Commission (FDRC) by the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
